Two Force Member Ex. 2

Why do we use L/2 instead of Lsin(theta) and Lcos(theta) in the moment equation?

You are correct; I left off the cos(theta) and sin(theta) terms in the moment equation (5). This error carried through on equation (10) and the final form for alpha.

I have corrected and reposted the solution.

Thanks for pointing out the error. Sorry for any confusion that this created.
