Problem 3/39

I am getting an answer to be near the answer in the book, but mine is negative. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem, or maybe I have a sign wrong. My equation is as follows:

Tcos30 i + Tsin30 j + N j -muk*N i - m*g j = m*(x double dot i + y double dot j)

Solving this after splitting the i and j components gives me acceleration of A to be -1.26 i m/s^2

I had problems with this too.
T is actually 2T due to the pulley configuration. Work through your process again and you should get it perfectly.
Good luck.
