Homework Problem VIB-3
Right now I am stuck on VIB-3. I am unable to determine how to relate the force of the spring and the force of the block on the disk in terms of theta. I feel like the point of no slip should be at a 45 degree angle above the horizontal from point O on the disk. I don't know if this is a correct assumption or if this will even help me out. Any help would be great!

I first drew two FBDs for this. One of the disk and one of the block.
For the disk: Since the rope comes off at the top of the wheel the wheel horizontally the last point of contact is directly above O. I designated a point C here. The force of the spring is therefore acting here (keep in mind that the distance C will be traveling, which is the distance of the stretch of the spring = R*theta). The force of the tension (which results from the block) occurs vertically, 90 deg. from the horizontal of O.
I hope this helps!
