The purpose of this exam is for you to review fundamental concepts from mathematics and from ME 270 that will be used in ME 274 during the semester. A link ("Fundamentals Exam: review notes") to a set of review notes for this exam are found on the left side of the blog page.
Please review these notes as a preparation for this exam. There are 18 examples provided in these notes. Cover the solution to these examples and attempt to work the example on your own. If you encounter difficulties in solving, go back over that section of the notes. If you still have difficulties, ask for help here on the blog, in the Tutorial Room or your instructor.

Hey Prof K,
I looked over the review of fund. and i think i found a mistake on example 7. The question asks to find the dot product for <1,-3,5> and <-2,-4,6>. The answer should be 40 (-2 + 12 + 30) but the review sheet has the answer listed as 20.
Also if the exam on wednesday is reflective of this review, i feel confident!
Ooops ... you are correct. I did not do my arithmetic well. Thanks for pointing out the error.
The review questions and exam questions are very similar in nature.
