In 5/112, is it true that the angular velocities of link AB and Sector BD are the same? If we use point B and the instant center to evaluate the angular velocity, this appears to be true, but doesn't seem right...

Please keep in mind that we know:

v_B = (BC)*omega_AB = (BD)*omega)BD

where C is the IC for link AB. From this we see that:

omega_BD = (BC/BD)*omega_AB

If BC = BD, then omega_BD = omega_AB.

Is the distance from D to B (6") equal to the distance from C to B? If so, those angular speeds are the same. If not, they are not the same.
