Homework Problems 5/96 and 5/112


Suggestions:
As discussed in lecture, you are asked to solve these two problems using the METHOD OF INSTANT CENTERS. For both problems, you are given the angular speed of link OA. Use the location of the IC for link AB to determine the angular speed of AB.
  • The speed and the direction of motion for G in Problem 5/96 can be found from the angular speed of AB and knowing the location of the IC for AB.
  • The speed of B in Problem 5/112 can be found from the angular speed of AB and the location of the IC for AB. From this, omega_BD can be determined.
